We are on Facebook, and that is where the codes are going
The realm has a page now: facebook.com/godsbattle.online.
This site has a problem that a small server always has. Everything worth saying
gets said here, and the only people who read it are the people who already found
us. The invite codes for the closed beta are sitting in a box waiting for
someone to ask, and the people most likely to want one — anybody who played the
old game and wondered where it went — have no reason to type our address into a
browser.
So there is a page, and it is where the codes are going.
What goes there
The short version of what goes here. When the realm is down, when it comes back,
when something large is fixed, when the beta opens further. If you want the
detail you will still find it on this site, because a news post can be as long as
it needs to be and a social post cannot.
Codes are handed out by message. Ask on the page and you get one. Ask for
four and you get four — testing alone is worse than testing with people you know,
and we would rather hand a group a code each than watch one person walk an empty
map.
What does not change
The site stays the record. Patch notes, known issues, and anything we owe you an
honest answer about go here first and stay here, where they can be linked to and
where nothing is buried by an algorithm three days later.
Nothing about the beta moves behind a login on somebody else's platform. If you
never touch Facebook you lose nothing except the notification.
If you are already playing
Nothing to do. This is not a migration, an account link, or a thing you have to
sign up for. Follow it if it is useful to you, ignore it if it is not.
If you know somebody who used to play, though — that page is the easiest thing to
send them.
